The increasing digitalization of the economy and society has a significant impact on the various fields of expertise. To meet the demands of the present age, awareness of fields of action has also increased in the construction industry. The diversity and complexity that digitization brings with it makes it more difficult to find and use effective solutions and requires a high degree of interdisciplinarity and exchange.
The RWTH Aachen Campus, with its diverse expertise and bundling of industrial and scientific know-how, offers the perfect basis for approaching this topic.
To approach this topic in an interdisciplinary and collaborative way and to define potentials, the CMM and the Center Building and Infrastructure Engineering (CBI) are organizing a joint workshop on the digitization of highway construction processes.
The event will take place on 13.10.2020 online from 10-13 o’clock for all members of the CBI and the CMM as well as for all interested parties free of charge!

As an introduction, impulse lectures of the companies Topcon and Eurovia are planned.
